9/11 Remembrance in Beaver Creek

The Beaver Creek Regional Council joins the Montezuma-Rimrock firefighters in commemorating the heroism of the first responders lost in the 9/11 tragedy with a special remembrance on Tuesday.

The ceremony will begin at 6:30 a.m. at the Ranch House Pro Shop, 4250 Montezuma Ave. At 6:50 a.m. tones will be broadcast at locations all over the country to recall the moments the towers fell, and the flag will be raised. A speaker will be introduced prior to the flag raising. The firefighters will be in full responder dress, and will walk a mile around the golf course to represent the floors the first responders walked in the towers. Please join us for the ceremony, the walk, and refreshments in the pro shop after.
