Motorcycle collision injures one

JEROME -- A man on a motorcycle was airlifted to Flagstaff Medical Center after crashing into to the rock face at the side of State Route 89A.

The accident occurred shortly after noon Tuesday as the biker was headed uphill driving south just past the scenic view parking area above Jerome.

The 20-year-old man apparently lost control and collided with the rock face.

Jerome Fire, Clarkdale Fire and Police and the Verde Valley Ambulance were all involved in the rescue.
