Slow Down!

Hello-hello, out there! As I train my beloved Trainees, oftentimes, I have to put their attention to... slowing down! I know, it sounds sort of contradictory, but I am talking here about slowing down while lifting weights! :-) It is really important: it challenges your muscles much better, and, as a result, you are more successful at breaking the muscle tissue (yes, this is what we do while weight training!) in order to rebuild even stronger, bigger and more tones muscles when we give'em a break. This is the time when we truly grow our muscles; when they rest after we have trained them with weights. So, you want to have that protein level in your muscles high, so they grow nicely and as planned! And, to get all this working your way, pretty please, SLOW DOWN as you go through your reps!
