Cyclist takes to air after crash

JEROME - A single rider on a motorcycle from Prescott Valley apparently hit some gravel Sunday afternoon and went down on his bike about milepost 343 on State Route 89A, above Jerome. The accident proved serious enough that Clarkdale paramedics treated the 51 year old for "advanced life support" and he was transported by ambulance to the helicopter landing zone at the 300 level. From there the patient was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center trauma unit.
