Verde Valley Medical Center's EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine Experts now has a new Stoke Rehabilitation Program to assist patients who have suffered a stroke.

The skilled team of therapists helps stroke victims restore and maintain function to the highest possible level. The EntireCare Stroke Rehabilitation Team works together to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at maximizing a person's recovery potential.

Each specific type of therapy is considered a specialty and plays an important role in the rehabilitation process. All therapies are medically prescribed and include comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans provided by caring, skilled professional therapists.

• Physical Therapy will evaluate and treat to improve function, ambulation, strength and balance to do the things patients need and want to do.

• Occupational Therapy will help patients resume daily activities and regain function through specific adaptive strategies.

• Speech and Language Therapy will evaluate and treat disorders of speech, language, voice and swallowing to help maximize independence and participation in daily activities.
