Obituary: Dale Clinton Lamb

Dale Clinton Lamb (80 years old) of Cottonwood, AZ passed away peacefully August 16, 2013. He was born on June 29, 1933 at Madison Township in Clark County, Iowa.

He was known as the family handy man always able to fix anything and willing to drop what he was doing to help others.  He always had a hug and smile and kissed away a million hurts and sorrows.  But most of all, he loved us all and we will love and miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father (Lillian and Harry Lamb) and his son Roy Dean Lamb, his half brothers, Russell Reagan and Roy Bernard Lamb, and his half sister Ruth Weeter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Fern Lamb, and children, Joy (Dean) Chevalier, Diana Johnson, Marcia (Doug) Devilbiss, Victor Lamb, Melanie Lamb and step daughter Linda (Dave) Seagren, his sisters Norma Thompson, Faye Leeps, Shirley (Melvin) Allison and his brother Don (Mary) Lamb, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, plus many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dale worked and lived most of his life in Iowa, spending 24 years at Oscar Mayer in Perry.  He moved to Cottonwood, Arizona to be near his brother and enjoy the drier climate a few years ago.  A small private viewing was held in Arizona for family and friends to say their good byes.  A memorial service will be held in Iowa on September 14, 2013 at the Pleasant Valley Christian Church officiated by Duane Hendrichs at 1:00 PM.  All cards and gifts should be sent to his widow; Fern Lamb, 2364 S. Warriors Run, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.  Dale was an organ donor.
