A Red, White and Blue Christmas Parade (with photo gallery)

Patriotic-themed floats wound their way from the Verde Valley Fairgrounds to the Old Town jail on Saturday morning, December 7, as the Cottonwood Christmas parade took place for the 59th year. Sponsored by the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce over a hundred teams were scheduled to participate in this year's parade. Winners this year were: Most Creative: Home Depot, Judges Choice: Northern Arizona Rehab and Fitness (top right photo), Best use of Theme: Arizona Smile Designers, Commercial: Taylor Waste (bottom right photo), Non-Profit/School: Verde Valley Christian School, Club/Organization: Clemenceau Heritage Museum.
