Grace... elegance ... and other nouns which describe the beauty of this heron

Grace... elegance ... and other nouns which describe the beauty of this heron would fill volumes; one photo evokes all these descriptions and more. The wings are completing a power stroke and he was heading for other parts, but left this imprint on the camera sensor and my mind. 'twas fun and I got this shot yesterday at the ponds. A friend who looked at it yesterday did not like this shot as well as the next two because you cannot see the feet; I liked it because it does not show the feet and you get the creature equivalent a very clean fast mover or given the size perhaps a fast moving stealth bomber.

A very good day and a great get together of the ISO 100 group tonight with some absolutely amazing photographs. Then a long conversation with our daughter Sus and now it is time to close things down. The weekend is here and I'll be back Monday morning. Flying this afternoon and maybe time for a shoot at the ponds afterwards. Calendars arrive today too so I'll spend the evening getting them ready to put in the mail. I've still got a few that are not sold so if you are interested let me know.

Have fun and enjoy the day ... only one you get today.

into the dark places the light of a cheerful heart.
