Letter: Thank You, Camp Verde

Our 22nd Cornfest was a great success thanks to all the volunteers who helped pull it off. We are all so thankful that we had so many volunteers show up this year to help us. An event this size will always have a few problems, but for the most part all went well. Volunteers helped with the set up of the pop-ups, helped to sell the corn, prepare the corn, roast the corn, strip, dip and serve the corn. They also helped break down and clean up the field.  There is no way we can list the names of all the volunteers here, but you know who you are and we thank you one and all. We would also like to thank the Town and its work crew for getting the extra electricity ready in time for this event and  all future events held on the soccer field.

After a few days rest we will start planning Fort Verde Days.  Remember these events are put on by volunteers to help bring the Community together and have a great time with friends and neighbors. If you have suggestions on how to better these events and cannot attend the meeting on Saturday, July 27, 3 p.m. at the Sweet Grace Restaurant, 37 Hollamon St., please email your comments to board member bobbietennant@gmail.com or check out our new Web site www.campverdepromotions.org with questions or comments to questions@campverdepromotions.org.
