$8,000 for 100 Club of Arizona

Cottonwood fire and police departments awarded a check for $8,000 to the 100 Club of Arizona on Friday, June 21, at the Public Safety building in Cottonwood. The 100 Club works to support families of law enforcement and firefighters who have died while on the job. The $8,000 was raised at the Fallen Heroes Golf Tournament, held at the 7 Canyons Golf Resort, Sedona, on May 11. Coordinators of the golf tournament were Sgt. Kevin Murie, CPD, Engineer Brandon Wacker, CFD, Officer Josh Fradette, CFD, and Fire Inspector Steve Trautman, CFD. Besides the entry fee, the organizers who donated their time to help the 100 Club, set up prize raffles, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle to maximize their efforts. On hand to accept the check was 100 Club representative Ciara Franklin. VVN/Jon Pelletier
