View from Sycamore Canyon

Late...in the day I took to the sky hoping for some good light and shadow. The sky is filled with smoke from the hundreds of thousands of acres on fire in the SW and it is not a pretty sight; still the light and shadows on the ground are beautiful. I took this shot from about ten thousand feet and ten to fifteen miles west of Sycamore Canyon looking back to the east. The first set of red rocks is on the west facing slopes of Casner Mountain forming part of the east canyon wall of Sycamore Canyon, Black Mountain is to the right and beyond the canyon the red rock country of Sedona. I landed at sunset and it was a very nice flight.

Into the weekend, enjoy and be safe ... stay cool too

Cheers

Ted
