Gallery: Mountain View Prep Dr. Seuss Breakfast

Area schools capped off Read Across America Week on Friday, March 1, with a celebration of author Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known to the world as Dr. Seuss. At Mountain View Preparatory, Cottonwood, the day began with a green ham and egg breakfast for parents and kids. Some parents stayed on to spend time reading Seuss classics to the kids, many who wore tall red and white striped hats, ala Cat in the Hat. During the breakfast, 5-year-old Jaely Soto (pictured, with Kindergarten instructor Jenna Adams assisting by holding the microphone) read "Green Eggs and Ham" to the auditorium full of students, teachers and families.
