A Day at Dead Horse Ranch State Park (with photo gallery)

The 2nd grade students from Dr. Daniel Bright School were invited by Nature Outdoors program and the City of Cottonwood to a field trip at Dead Horse Ranch State Park on Thursday, May 2. Students moved from station to station, learning all about insects, the water cycle, animal tracks and pelts as well a nature walk around the lagoons. Every child also received a "goodie" bag full of activities and supplies from all the sponsoring agencies. Approximately 200 students in 2nd grade participated in "Nature Outdoors" field trip.
