Gallery: Plant-A-Vine at Yavapai College

With a goal of planting 3,000 new grapevines in its expanding vineyard, Yavapai College invited community members and businesses to be part of its annual "Plant-a-vine" service day on Saturday, May 4, at the college's Verde Campus vineyard. U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar, Boy and Girl Scouts and AmeriCorps workers were among the volunteers who lent a hand planting vines on Saturday. The event marked Phase 2 of Yavapai College's vineyard expansion at the Verde Valley campus in Clarkdale. The vineyard is a major component of the growing Viticulture and Enology Programs at the school.
