Shooting the color in the caldera

At 7 AM... I hope to be at about 10,000' on the E side of the San Francisco Peaks shooting the color in the caldera; there was quite a bit of color in there when Corky and I flew up there on Saturday and with the low morning sun illuminating the caldera I think it should look pretty spectacular ... at least that is the plan. Might be that a higher altitude, perhaps 14 to 15,000' will give a good perspective too. Hope to be back home by 9:30 with an abundance of good shots. You will see the results tomorrow night.

Cork & I had a fun weekend replete with flying and time with friends. Today we had a quiet day after church and I worked on the calendar images. Have eight of the thirteen done and hope tomorrow will be the end of it. Dinner at Sound Bites at 6:30 and feel free to join us. Always a fun outing.

This photo is of an Innovator Spuria Iris. If you drive by our home on the cart path you will see eight very pathetic flattened iris planted in front of the deck ... it is hoped that next spring they will look like this bloom. Allan planted them for me so they have a good chance ... he did come by the other day and water them as he thought I was neglecting them, Have been watering daily now Allan so here is hoping,

Have a terrific day ,,, have to get up about the time I usually go to sleep to be airborne at sunrise .... So cheers and may your day be filled with beauty.
