Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the community is invited to the opening of a new 10,000 square-foot facility at 421 N. Willard St. where Northern Arizona Hospice will provide hospice care.
The facility features 10 private rooms, each with its own bathroom and outdoor patio.
There is a quiet room for prayer, meditation, and reflection; as well as two family rooms and a private dining room for patients. It will provide a comfortable and peaceful setting for those who need hospice services but lack the resources or support to stay in their own homes.
"We are thrilled that our longtime goal has been realized," said Northern Arizona Homecare and Northern Arizona Hospice Director Loretta Wellborn. "We know this is a significant undertaking, in terms of financial and service commitment. However, as a nonprofit healthcare organization, our priority has always been to serve our community. After more than 25 years, we are realizing the dream of many Verde Valley and Sedona families."
The new facility is owned by Northern Arizona Healthcare.
Further naming and donation opportunities are available for this exceptional facility and community resource. Please contact 928-639-6100 to learn more about how you can offer support.
