Music lineup set for 2014 Rhythm & Ribs Festival

COTTONWOOD -- This year the AZ Rhythm & Ribs has changed its name to AZ Rhythm & Ribs Country Music Festival.

The event, set for Sept. 5-6 at the Cottonwood Kids Park, has been selected as one of the tour stops for the Great American Cookout, along with 25 professional BBQ competitors; AZ Rhythm & Ribs Country Music Festival has become a hot spot for professional BBQ teams, so we are an official Arizona State BBQ Championship.

They will be introducing great young country artists while you enjoy the Micro-Brew Beer Garden with 25 micro-brews, as well as The Kids Zone with plenty of fun rides and games for the kids to stay entertained.

Tickets are on sale now. Single day tickets start at $15 with multi-day tickets available, but you won't want to miss a single day.

Children 12 and under are free with an entire section devoted to kids thanks to AZ Inflatable Rides. A private tent for VIPs (Very Important Play) to be will have the extra amenities including catered food, beverages, cigars and front row access to our national concert.

They can be purchased online at azrhythmandribs.com.

This year's charity is the Boot Campaign. The Boot Campaign is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to Cultivating Awareness, Promoting Patriotism, and Providing Assistance to military personnel, past and present, and their families.

Proceeds from all Boot Campaign combat boot sales, events, direct donations and corporate sponsorships fund the campaign's five Assistance initiatives: Jobs, Housing, Wellness, Urgent Assistance, and Family Support.

The Boot Campaign was developed to bridge the gap between American society and the warriors that protect her. The contrast of wearing combat boots with everyday clothes starts a conversation. When you put your boots on, people want to know what you're up to! More often than not they also decide to join you. Before you know it, your act of wearing boots influences those around you to do the same.

Acts for the 2014 AZ Rhythm & Ribs Country Music Festival include:

Friday: Austin Webb "Slip on By"

Sam Hunt - "'Leave The Night On'"

Saturday: Logan Brill - "Walking Wires"

Benton Blount - "Carolina"

Headliner: Kristian Bush of Sugarland

Kristian Bush, one half of platinum-selling country duo Sugarland, has been leaving his mark on music for more than two decades.

A Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Bush is currently working with longtime producer Byron Gallimore on his first solo album, to be released via Streamsound Records. The lead single from the highly anticipated project will hit country radio nationwide this summer.

The No. 1 country artist to watch in 2014 is Sam Hunt, a man you are already very familiar with, although you may not know it. Hunt co-wrote 'Come Over' for Kenny Chesney and the current singles for both Billy Currington ('We Are Tonight') and Keith Urban ('Cop Car'). 'Leave The Night On' is every bit as good as those hits, but what separates this newcomer from other artists on this list is his natural confidence. Sam's new single that will be released mid-June, watch for it.

Benton Blount - "Carolina" when this hulking man with the imposing look starts to sing, people often are surprised at his tender love songs and his upbeat view of what people can achieve in their lives.

"I like surprising people," he says. "My life, and my career, has been full of surprises too. But it's always a good surprise. I like showing people that this is what I should be doing, and this is where I belong!

Austin Webb is an American country music singer-songwriter. Webb moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2011 after winning a songwriting competition in Greenville.

Logan Brill is an American singer/songwriter from Knoxville, Tennessee. Nashville Sound dubbed 'Walking Wires' one of the "Top 10 Country Albums of 2013." Logan has appeared on sold-out bills in markets from Nashville to Chicago to Washington, D.C.
