Archie Holland Church

Our beloved dad, Archie Holland Church, went to his heavenly home on December 5. He was born September 1, 1918.

Dad went peacefully in his bed, asleep. Dad is survived by 6 children. (12 really. He loved our husbands and wives as if they were his.) Carlie (Gary) Androus, Barry (Karen) Church, AJ (Linda) Church, Dobie (Wendell) Champion, Debbie (Pete) Roulette and Dana (Dan) Rhoades, 16 grandkids, 21 great grandkids and 3 great, great grandkids, and his special friend Linda Lafferty. Our mom, Blanche, went home on July 7, 2004 & grandson Troy went home on September 10, 2012.

Dad loved his family, always looking forward to the next family gathering. Dad was a wonderful, giving man. He would absolutely give you anything he had that you needed. If he didn't have what you needed, he would call around until he found someone that had it and make some sort of bargain to get it.

Dad never knew a stranger. He was generous to a fault, loved everyone and NEVER had an unkind word to say about anyone. Dad had a great sense of humor, always telling jokes. Dad wanted everyone to have a personal relationship with Jesus. He was forever passing out coins with Bible verses. Dad had a LONG list of people that were on his daily phone ministry that he prayed with and encouraged.

Other than his long marriage to our mom, and the love of our family, he was most proud of being a WWII US Army vet. He served two invasions in the South Pacific.

As the children of Archie and Blanche, we know that God hand-picked us to bless, having them as our parents. Thank you LORD! Now they are re-united.

We want to say thank you to Dr. Joe Elio and Heather of Copper Canyon Family Health in Camp Verde, and Dr. Peek. All of you took time to talk with and love on dad. He truly appreciated each of you. Dad, Mom & Troy; you are and always will be loved and missed greatly.

There will be a memorial service for dad on Sunday December 14 at Calvary Chapel in Camp Verde at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, please send any memorial gifts to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Archie H Church. www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate or 877-958-2233.
