Sunday, Dec. 21, Joe and Charlotte Braly of Cottonwood celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married in the Danforth Chapel on the campus of Kansas University in 1949. Joe was a Lieutenant in the Air Force during World War II. Some would say it has been 65 years of beautiful music together. Both are lifelong musicians with Joe on piano and Charlotte on violin. Through the years they have played many duets together. Joe, at 91 years old, often entertains lunchtime crowds at the Cottonwood Senior Center. In past years Charlotte played with the Sedona Chamber Orchestra. Their advice to couples wanting to know the secret to a long lasting marriage they both pointed out the importance of being committed to each other. Joe and Charlotte plan on spending many more years together.
