Fund-raising begins for Law Enforcement Heroes K-9 Statue

COTTONWOOD-- A bronze K9 Statue is being forged to honor K-9's who sacrificed their lives serving the citizens of Arizona, as well as honoring the service of K-9's on active duty, including Jax, the Cottonwood Police Department's dog

The Law Enforcement Heroes Committee was formed in May 2012 to raise funds for the Police Officer Heroes Statue. The committee is made up of current police officers from the Cottonwood Police Department plus local business owners, citizens, and others from the Cottonwood area. Now that the Heroes statue is completed, the committee is moving forward to raise funds for the K9 statue. The K-9 statue will also be funded through private donations with funds administrated by the statue committee.

Donations are tax deductible with the committee moving towards 501C3 status any day now.

The goal is $20,000 dollars to complete the project.

If you would like to make a financial contribution or have questions about the K9 statue project, you can contact Cottonwood Police Commander, Jody Makuch, at the Cottonwood Police Department at (928) 634.4246 or James Iacovacci at (928) 202.8120, or go to Lawenforcementheroes.org.
