CAMP VERDE - Tim and Robyn Roth, owners of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Yavapai and Coconino Counties, were named as recipients of the coveted Personal Achievement award as well as a Top Gun designation, from the Mr. Rooter Plumbing corporate office during the company's 2014 International Convention in Orlando, Florida, Sept. 7-10.
The Personal Achievement award is presented each year to franchisees who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in sales, an increase in manpower or personal growth, or advanced franchise development. This award goes to franchise owners who achieve sales goals and reach operation benchmarks. The Top Gun recipients represent the top 10 percent of Mr. Rooter Plumbing owners across North America.
"The idea of 'Top Gun' was established by the Navy in the 1960s as a way to give training and credit to elite fighter pilots," said Mary Kennedy Thompson, president of Mr. Rooter. "Taking a page from the Naval Top Gun program, each year we recognize our franchise leaders for their accomplishments and dedication to the trade. It takes perseverance, hard work, expertise and commitment to reach the Top Gun goal and we are honored to have Tim and Robyn on our team."
The Top Gun designation was inspired by the 1980s movie of the same moniker. Don Dwyer, the late founder of Mr. Rooter Plumbing's parent company, The Dwyer Group, initiated the concept. He felt the top franchise owners, who went the extra mile and did what it took to be exemplary, deserved recognition.
"We are humbled and honored to receive this award," remarked Robyn Roth. "We have an outstanding team of professionals who work hard everyday. We wouldn't have been able to achieve this without their help."
"Tim constantly seeks ways to improve both his business and the lives of others," states Michael Green, the Mr. Rooter Plumbing Franchise Consultant who nominated Roth for the honor. "His dedication to continue learning best practices and sharing his accomplishments with other franchisees has helped make him a highly successful businessman."
"The determination and commitment shown by Tim is inspiring," said Mary Kennedy Thompson, president of Mr. Rooter Plumbing. "The high standards he sets for himself and his team have lead to high quality customer service, which is what has helped make him so successful."
