Charles Eugene Millsap

Charles Eugene Millsap passed away on October 19, 2014 at Austin House in Cottonwood, AZ. Charles was born March 3, 1922, to Gertrude (Pearson) and Forrest Millsap in Leon, Iowa. Later he was raised by his mother and step-father Frank Harrison. He attended schools in and near Nevada, Iowa.

In 1942 he joined the Army Air Corps and became a radio operator where he spent part of his time in service in different parts of India. He was discharged in 1945.

In 1955 he married Francis Jennings. She had one daughter, Janice, whom he adopted.

Charles had worked in electronics all his life and was employed at Motorola for 25 1/2 years from where he finally retired. He has been an avid Ham Radio Operator enthusiast all his life with the call sign: W7FQW. He was also a Mason and had been Grand Master in the Glendale Masonic Lodge,

In 1994 he met, then married, Grace Oksanen and moved to Camp Verde. They enjoyed their time together dancing, traveling, and being with their many friends.

He is survived by his wife Grace, daughter Janice (Jim) Kimbell, 2 granddaughters, Julie (Dallas) Bowling and Amy (Tom) Muszynski; 5 step-children, Helene Brown, Kathleen (Alan) Balzarini, Darrell (Judy) Peltier, Susan Cardew and Mary (Mark) Radtke; his sister, Nadine (Darrell) Greiman and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00am at Peace Lutheran Church, 1450 E. Fir Street in Cottonwood.
