Richard Dale Karber

Richard Dale Karber was called to heaven to join his beloved German Shepard, Kiera, March 2015.

Richard was born in Dinuba, California in December 1960 and moved to Cottonwood Arizona as a teenager. Upon obtaining his degree from Northern Arizona University Richard followed his dream to be near the ocean and moved to Oceano, California.

He was passionate about cooking, good food, good beer, good wine, and above all good friends that he could have a good laugh with, with his off-beat sense of humor.  He had a wealth of knowledge about everything that never ceased to amaze all who knew him. Richard had many gifts and his artistic talent often went unnoticed. He enjoyed creating beautiful gardens, driving fast cars, or just driving cars very fast.

But Richard's greatest love was developing his own recipes while cooking. Richard's laugh, generosity, and inability to never say no will be deeply missed but with relief that his pain is over and he is at peace.

One of Richard's last adventurous desires was to experience the thrill of sky diving.

Friends may join his family on the Arroyo Grande boardwalk (off Grand Ave), Arroyo Grande, CA, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:30 pm to watch Richard's last thrill,  as he and his cherished "Her Royal Highness Princess" Kiera Boo's ashes are scattered by vintage plane over the ocean he so loved.
