College Governing Board plans retreat, meeting

The Yavapai College District Governing Board will hold its annual retreat on Monday, Aug. 31, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the YC Prescott Campus and its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1 p.m., on the Verde Valley Campus. Both the retreat and monthly meeting are open to the public.

The Prescott Campus is located at 1100 E. Sheldon St. in Prescott, and the Verde Valley Campus is located at 601 Black Hills Drive in Clarkdale.

The retreat will focus on discussion of the board's ownership linkage plan.

The retreat agenda also includes a review of the college's 2015-2020 strategic plan.

The Sept. 1 meeting agenda includes an update on the college's strategic plan, a review of the prior day's retreat, a report on current facilities projects, and a Verde Valley campus report from the campus executive dean.

The board will also meet in closed executive session to discuss with board legal counsel the ongoing aviation lawsuit before reconvening in public session for possible action.
