Crash on I-17

The Montezuma Rimrock Fire District was called to a motor vehicle accident on I-17 milepost 303 at about 5:20 p.m. Friday, June 26. Upon arrival, emergency crews found a silver sedan with heavy front-end damage in the median of the freeway. The vehicle left its lane of travel and crashed into a rocky shoulder at a high rate of speed. There were two occupants in the car, both having serious injuries. Due to the nature of their injuries, they were both transported by helicopter to level one trauma centers. MRFD crews were assisted by Sedona Fire District, Pinewood Fire District, Guardian Air, Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, and the Department of Public Safety.
