Reverend Thomas Eugene Boyle, of Cottonwood, Arizona, retired pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Wickenburg, died the morning of March 12, 2015 in Cottonwood, AZ at the rectory of Immaculate Conception Parish. Father David Kelash, who had been his caregiver and friend for over 20 years, was by his side as he passed.

He was born on September 21, 1930 in Swoyersville, PA. Father Boyle was ordained to the priesthood on June 2, 1956 for the Diocese of Tucson. He attended Mt. Saint Mary's Seminary in Maryland. After ordination he served in the cities of Tucson, Morenci, and Phoenix in the 1960's, in Baltimore Maryland and St. Mary's Chandler, in the 1970's.

He was pastor of St. Anthony in Wickenburg from 1976 - 1990. He especially loved serving the parish of St. Anthony in Wickenburg and continued to hold a special place in his heart for the parish throughout his retirement years.

Father Boyle is survived by his sister Marie Carpenter of Maryland, his longtime priest friends, close friends and former parishioners of St. Anthony Parish and the good people of Immaculate Conception parish who took him into their community with love over the last years of his life.

Father Boyle was preceded in death by his dear parents, Eugene and Mary Boyle, his brother James and his sister Helen. A vigil service and viewing will be held Tuesday, March 17, from 5:00-7:00 pm and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 18 at 12:00 noon.

Burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery, Cottonwood. All services will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish, 700 N. Bill Gray Road, Cottonwood, 86326. He was loved by many and was a great mentor to his brother priests.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Father Boyle to the Regina Cleri Retirement Home for Priests Fund, Diocese of Phoenix, 400 E. Monroe Street, Phoenix AZ, 85004.
