David Lee De Witt (born March 1951) of Cottonwood AZ, passed away October 23, 2015. He was son to the late John De Witt.
David was a graduate of Mingus Union High School. He was a longtime resident of the Verde Valley.
David was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved everything Steve McQueen and had a special affinity for photography.
He fought in The Vietnam War, nicknamed "guts" (earning awards for acts of valor) and is an American hero because of this.
He lived his life to the fullest and always looked fear in the eye. Bold, outspoken, strong willed and determined.
He is survived by daughter Candice Anne Moya (Aaron), and his four grandsons Devin, Ethan, Johnny and Thomas. He is also survived by brothers Dean and Dickson.
