I-17 rollover sends two to Flagstaff hospital

SEDONA --Just after 6 a.m. Friday, local emergency responders were called to a one-vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 17 with heavy damage and injuries.

Two patients were treated and transported to Flagstaff Medical Center. One patient was flown by Guardian Air to the hospital trauma facility. The second patient was taken by ground ambulance for further evaluation.

The rollover occurred on I-17 at milepost 306 in the median, about 8 miles north of the Sedona interchange. Montezuma-Rimrock Fire Dept. reminds motorists to temper their speeds on steep grades. Mutual support was provided by Montezuma-Rimrock, Pinewood and Sedona Fire Districts as well as the Department of Public Safety.
