The second candidate for Yavapai County Supervisor District 3 has formally filed with Yavapai County. The election is not until the fall of 2016.

Chip Davis, who will have held the county post for 20 years, previously announced he will be a candidate for a District 1 State House seat.

Cottonwood Mayor Diane Joens was the first to form a campaign committee and file to be a candidate in the race. Now, Cottonwood Council Member Randy Garrison has also filed. A campaign poster has also been placed on the family business space that once held the Cottonwood Water Works in Old Town.

The Yavapai County Elections Department reports the two Cottonwood council members are the only individuals who have filed campaign information.

Incumbent Tom Thurman is the lone candidate so far for re-election to the District 2 supervisors seat, also according to the Elections Department.
