Obituary: David Cobb

David passed away peacefully at home September 15, 2015 with his loving wife Peg by his side. He was born January 4, 1931 to Walter and Alice Cobb in West Orange, New Jersey. David was raised in New Jersey with his sister Eunice.

David served in the military for 28 years and retired from the US Navy as a Lt Commander in 1976. He was a fine Aviator receiving an Air Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Vietnam Campaign Ribbon as well as flying into typhoons for the USN Airborne Early Warning Squadron.

He and his lovely wife Peg settled in Cottonwood, AZ where he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, a Certified Flight Instructor and a member of the Quiet Birdmen.

David is survived by his wife, Peg, his daughters Cynda (Jim), Tina and Leigh (Gary), and 6 grandchildren, his sister, Eunice (Bob) and many cherished friends and pilots.

His amazing gift for flight and his dry wit will be deeply missed by all.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate David's life on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00am at Verde Valley Christian Church, 406 S 6th St, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
