Letter: We still need more volunteers for Cornfest

Editor:

To all those brave souls that have already signed up, THANK YOU for volunteering for Cornfest. Remember this is your festival and we need all the help we can get; 82 spaces of 2-hour shifts and we are nowhere near our goal. Please consider helping us out once again this year.

Also we have been asked from some of the town's people what happens to the money we earn by selling the corn. First and foremost we use this money to put on the other two festivals, Fort Verde Days and Spring Heritage Pecan and Wine Festival. Anything left over is used to add amenities to our town.

We have helped add additional electricity to the soccer field, put lighting on the field, put in steps by the Cook Shack, a new community stage by the Ramada, enhanced the corners of Finnie Flat and Main and Finnie Flat and 260 for banners for community events, purchased gates for the back field, and we were instrumental in helping get the poles up for the signage across Main Street for banners. We only want to promote the Town of Camp Verde and want our citizens to enjoy our Town and our festivities. We welcome any and all suggestions we can do to help our citizens enjoy their Town. Please call Camp Verde Promotions 928-301-0922. Thank you!
