CLARKDALE - With growing interest among local restauranteurs at bringing their goods to the street, Clarkdale Town Council will consider adopting regulations for mobile food vendors at their July12 meeting.
"Currently we don't have anything in the code," said Beth Escobar, senior planner, Town of Clarkdale Community and Economic Development. "We have had some interest from businesses that would like to have a truck on the street."
Escobar noted that Nate's Cowboy Café on SR 89A received approval for a mobile food trailer, but it is parked on the restaurant's private property. The trailer opened for business last month and sells iced coffee, smoothies and cold food items.
Clarkdale Town Council meets 6 p.m. Tuesday at Clark Memorial Clubhouse, 19 N 9th St. The meeting is open to the public.
