The Green Light band will play Bootlegger's in Old Town Cottonwood Sunday, June 19, 4-8 p.m.
It's the perfect opportunity to catch the band live during the day while visiting Old Town Cottonwood and it's many shops and winery outlets.
The band plays only original music written by band-leaders Chicky Brooklyn and Tommy Acosta; music that gets you up from your chair and dancing while singing to the catchy choruses and versus of their unique original material.
Green Light has been steadily growing in popularity and over the years has melded into an extremely tight rock band.
Playing lead guitar and vocals, Robin Miller is known throughout Northern Arizona as one of the top-instrumentalists and composers in the area. He is the author of numerous albums in different styles and is considered a legend in the Sedona music scene.
On drums for the Bootlegger's show will be Dave Rentz. He is a seasoned performer playing with numerous groups in the area. He is a rock-solid drummer and adds a hard edge to the Green Light repertoire of original material.
Brooklyn carries most of the lead vocal work and keeps the beat going on rhythm guitar.
With Tommy on bass and vocals, the two songwriters have been playing together for more than a decade as a duo, forming a full band a few years ago that eventually became Green Light.
Their songs are punchy, cover the full spectrum of human emotions and are fun to dance to and sing along with.
The June 19 gig at Bootlegger's will be the second time the band has played there.
"We are looking forward to this show," Brooklyn said. "I think we are really going to have a good time. Bootlegger's is a fun place to hang and party."
