COTTONWOOD – First Fridays have been a standing tradition at Main Stage since the venue’s inception. They are now offering a new reason to dance with Funk and Soul First Fridays. Friday, Dec. 2 join Main Stage and local favorite DJ ill.Ego for another installment of Funk and Soul First Fridays. All night long the venue pumps out classic soul and funk jams and the dance floor stays packed with fun. Main Stage continues to celebrate “Music, Art, Community” as the evening also features live painting as well a monthly art gallery opening. The event is free and begins at 9 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 3 sees local hip hop favorites Mental Cases return to Main Stage with a big holiday hip hop show. Cornville rappers Mental Cases, comprised of Psikosis and Tha Skeptic, have continued to grow and spread their unique brand of horror hip hop. They’ve opened for some of the genres best acts, including Insane Clown Posse, on big Arizona stages, released three albums and three mixtapes, and cultivated an ever-growing following. The holiday hip hop party will also feature Daniel Jordan and New Mexico’s Lyrical Mindz. The show is free. Doors open at 8 and the show is at 9 p.m.

Main Stage is located at 1 S. Main St. in Cottonwood and is open Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to close, and on Sundays 10 a.m. to close. All events are free to the public unless otherwise noted.
