Letter: It’s time for America to correct the mistake we made

Editor:

I think it’s time to Make America Respectable Again. I know, it’s a knockoff of another popular slogan. But I think it really could take off. And it’s a long time coming that the sentiment be spread - Since January 20th of 2017, give or take.

There’s nothing funny about our current state of affairs, and come 2018/2020, it’ll be time to correct the mistake we made.

To my fellow Americans, vote Democrat or vote conscientious Republican. I’m sure one of the latter will appear any day now.

We are Making America Great Again and hopefully all Republicans will stand strong and continue to vote Republicans in and more Democrats out.

"Great" as in 2007's "Economic Meltdown" and "Great Recession?."

"Mission Accomplished," great?

"No WMD's" great?

"You're doing a great job, Brownie," great?

Bush increasing the federal budget by 104 percent, great?

Bush, in his last term, increasing discretionary spending by 48.6 percent, great?

Under Bush, increasing the gross federal debt from $5.6 trillion to nearly $10 trillion, great?

Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, great?

"Mexico will pay for the wall," great?

Can't retain Cabinet members or Administrative staff, "great?

The whiniest, biggest liar president in the History of the US great?

trump is succeeding, however, in making the US the greatest laughing-stock country in the world.

Oh, and even greater fools of his gullible, minion submissives.

That should make you feel great.

Neither is correct. Our government leaders have failed us for 50 years. Vote Libertarian, or vote Technocracy. This two-party system will never work, because it values the uneducated, the unintelligible, the non-skeptic and the unwilling. Both parties promote evil. Until a 3rd party is in place, with representative power of the people (equal % of skilled workers, teachers, nurses, social workers, scientists, service jobs, etc) nothing will change for our betterment. Our government has been hijacked and its time we get it back. The clueless among us are fighting the wrong fight...anti-this-protesting, anti-police, anti-establishment, anti-everything. We need a party to unite the common folks, who believe this: nobody human should make over 30 times (or maybe even 5 x) another human in salary, nobody was born deserving more earthly goods than another, nobody owns my air, water and soil, nobody should arrest us for acting brave and standing up for what we believe. Make a difference.
