Letter: Not being in agreement with president doesn’t make him any less “My President’

Despite incessant chatter from certain quarters about Fascists, Nazis and Brown Shirts, to date we have only seen one group of people in the streets performing like actual Brown Shirts, and they have not been Secretary of State Hilary Clinton’s “Irredeemable Deplorables.”

In order: Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush and Obama have been ‘my President’. Now Trump is ‘my President’. I did not like all of them and I did not agree 100 percent with any of them. But they were and are ‘my President’.

Time past for the children to get over themselves and grow up.

I assume you know that many of the violent "protesters" aka rioters, are outside provocateurs. Like the ones who recently hijacked a protest at Berkley. And that Liberals like myself condemn the use of violence by anyone. No matter whose side they claim to be on.

I assume you also know about the continuing revelations of meddling by, and collusion with, Russia.

Sorry. That guy is not, and never will be, my president.

We've never had a habitual liar, braggart, bully, cheater and incompetent for president before. I could forgive the bragging, though it's hard to listen to, and the bullying, if he'd just stop lying. I'd like nothing more than to find myself able to consider him on the same level as our other presidents. Oh, and he needs to start doing the hard studying necessary to make up his knowledge gap and stop demanding that every issue be reduced to one page with seven or eight bullet points. The world is a complex place, and the issues our president has to deal with on a daily basis can't be reduced to crowd rallying soundbites or one-dimensional solutions.
