I’ve been so busy saving Clark Memorial Library, I just noticed the Sedona Camera Club’s latest exhibit—it’s only been in the library since April 4. Fortunately, it will be up through May 26. Once you get back in the stacks, some of these images are pure magic. Landscapes, cityscapes, wildlife, and portraiture all left me wondering, “How did they do that?”
Photographers Elaine Belvin, David Ellison, John Gafford, Judith Manocchia, and Pat Scott certainly know their art and brought a memorable touch of radiance for bookworms to cherish.
I hope all CML-lovers can find time to enjoy this up-close-and-personal benefit of visiting Clark Memorial Library just to browse.
The fate of our library is still in limbo, so we’d better enjoy it while we can.
For information on CML’s current plight, recent Clarkdale Town Council meetings, and things library-lovers can do to help keep a 90-year-old historic institution from vanishing, there’s now a website and blog at https://SaveCML.wordpress.com.
The next Council meeting will be next Tuesday, May 9 at 6:00 pm in the Clark Memorial Clubhouse Men’s Lounge. If you can, please come or e-mail questions and suggestions to the Council.
Where libraries are concerned, every voice counts.
