Our first SVBA mixer of 2018 was a roaring success.
Around 40 people showed up to meet, greet, and learn about their local Sedona Village businesses. The Hilton Hotel, in a lovely separated area of their beautiful, newly remodeled restaurant, graciously hosted us on Jan. 9, which was perfect for our private party.
The extensive menu included a pasta station, blackened chicken with rigatoni, a magnificent crudité, assorted empanadas including chicken mole, Portobello mushrooms and black beans, plus chicken quesadilla cones, vegetable spring rolls, braised beef short ribs, a delicious cheese cake with berry compote and more. Everyone agreed that the food was delectable.
There were fabulous door prizes from Margo B designs, Yuloff marketing, Emerson Theatre and the Hilton which offered a very generous $100 gift card.
Make sure to attend our next mixer to find out more about your local businesses. You don’t have to be a business owner to attend. Local residents are always welcome.
Special thanks to the Hilton Hotel for providing such a marvelous venue and food.

And the winners are…
Did you notice the beautiful lights adorning the Village this holiday season? Our first annual “Light the Village” contest was created and voted upon in December. We’re grateful to all of the businesses that participated in making our Village Light Up! The following businesses contributed: Ace Hardware, Coldwell Banker, Holiday Inn Express, Plaza Del Sol, Rocky Road Ice Cream, Sedona Digs, and The Collective/Vista Hall.
It was a difficult decision deciding on the winners, but here they are:
In first place Ace Hardware. They built their own cacti and candy cane and received a plaque and $50 dining credit. Second place went to Rocky Road Ice Cream which looked like Candy Land. They received a $40 dining credit, and in third place Coldwell Banker which received a $30 dining credit. Congratulations to all of the winners!
It’s time to start planning for next year to see what imaginative ideas you can come up with. We look forward to seeing the creativity that will “Light up the Village” next year.
