COTTONWOOD – On July 5, Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter’s office began to compile information that will be part of the information packet to help voters consider whether to merge the Cottonwood-Oak Creek and Mingus Union school districts.
Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter Tuesday announced that his office has “released petitions for the potential consolidation of Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District # 6 and Mingus Union High School District # 4, to the legal counsel of the Committee for Better Upper Verde Valley Schools, following a review by the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office.
With a day – and an hour – before the March 6 deadline, Cora-lei Marquez of Camp Verde faxed Yavapai County Schools Superintendent Tim Carter her letter of intent to be considered for the opening on the Camp Verde school board.
