This arrowhead, called a “projectile point” by archaeologists is made of obsidian, probably formed by ancient volcanoes in the San Francisco Volcanic field (near Flagstaff), according to the archaeologist report sent by Laura Cox, district clerk, Verde NRCD. Courtesy photo
