The threat of rain didn’t keep Camp Verde High School’s Class of 2019 from graduating Thursday night on the Sam Hammerstrom football field. The student-led ceremony included various introductions, awards recognitions, student speakers, the Camp Verde High School choir, an introduction of the 28 12-year seniors who attended Beaver Creek and/or Camp Verde schools since first grade – as well as the presentation of the graduation class, as 80 seniors, including students from the district’s accommodation school, received their diplomas. Camp Verde High also recognized its top 10 percent students – Angel Brady, Brina Church, Lizbet Gutierrez, Sara Jewell, Emily Orellana, Guadalupe Orta, Steven Petty and Logan Pratt. VVN/Bill Helm
