Marauder Coach Kirk Waddle: ‘This is the future: these kids who are attending the camp’

Mingus Union held a wrestling camp in the Anthony Lozano wrestling room Oct. 11-13. It was a good turnout as 30-35 kids showed up all three days. These wrestling camps are essential in continuing to furnish the varsity team with the tradition and techniques of what it means to be a Marauder grappler. Klint McKean used to run the camp in spring, but figured it was better to run it right before wrestling season started.

It is no secret Marauder Coach Bob Young ups the intensity when Mingus plays Flagstaff, and to prove it he threw a clipboard as the Eagles ruined the shutout by scoring a meaningless touchdown with 1:27 left in the third quarter.
