Kelly Fryer is coming to Old Town Cottonwood this Tuesday. A social hour will be from 4:00- 5:00 pm, followed by Ms. Fryer's talk with audience participation. Light refreshments will be served. Fryer, 2018 candidate for Arizona Governor, may not have made it onto the Primary Ballot, but she is still spreading her wisdom and enthusiasm across the state. She is as excited about what may happen in the 2020 elections as the rest of us are and has an inspirational talk to give to local Democratic activists. "I have a presentation called: What's Next, Democrats!?", Fryer explains, "It analyzes what happened in this (November 2018) election, proposes three big ideas for Democrats in Arizona and shares some very practical, tangible things that Democrat activists can do on the ground RIGHT NOW to get ready for 2020". Ms. Fryer has a remarkable background as a former minister, mom, author and educator, with nearly 30 years experience as a CEO for a nonprofit. Following the primary election in August, she quickly returned to the work that she loves as CEO with the Y.W.C.A., founded in 1858, empowering women and promoting peace and justice for all. Regardless of her busy schedule, she's agreed to take time out to deliver her encouraging message of hope to the Yavapai Democratic Party- Cottonwood, which she promises to infuse with her own personal passion, charm and wit. All are welcome.
