Police allege 12-year-old <br>threatened to blow-up school
A 12-year-old Camp Verde student faces charges of disrupting the educational process after school officials discovered a drawing aiming threats at the middle school.
Anthony G. Parks was arrested Nov. 1 for allegedly drawing a picture depicting several areas of the school exploding, and writing "Lunch time evakuation" on the paper, Camp Verde Marshal’s Office spokeswoman Wendy Escoffier said.
A search of Park’s home turned up no evidence he was planning on carrying out his threat, Escoffier said.
In addition to the charge of interference with the peaceful conduct of an educational institution, Parks also faces charges of robbery for stealing a bag of Halloween candy from an 8-year-old boy, Escoffier said. The 8-year-old’s mother chased after Parks and retrieved her son’s candy.
Parks is being held at the Prescott Juvenile Detention Center.
