Cottonwood City Council faces final budget<br>Intergovernmental, other agreements also on agenda
Money, money, money. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
A public hearing on adopting the proposed 2001-2002 fiscal-year budget and the expected resulting resolution for final adoption of the budget are on the agenda for the Cottonwood City Council meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the City Council Chambers Building, 826 N. Main St.
The city council is expected to consider:
• Several intergovernmental agreements – with Yavapai County for health services, court facilities; and unified emergency management; and with the Yavapai County Library District.
•Awarding a bid for long-distance service for city facilities.
• A consulting agreement with Earth Tech, Inc., for the design of a traffic signal at Main Street and Mingus Avenue.
• An annual agreement with the Old Town Association.
• Special-event liquor licenses for the Old Town Association and the Verde Valley Fair Association, both for various dates through October.
Council members also are expected to discuss, possibly in executive session: a development agreement with G.M. Fratelli and Mongini House, and an undisclosed contract that is being negotiated.
