Re/Max, ZTA think pink

The women of the Northern Arizona Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha teamed with Re/Max of Sedona to distribute breast cancer information. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

On a nationwide basis, at all venues for Race for the Cure, Re/Max and ZTA provide the breast cancer survivors with pink hats and pink T-shirts. In addition, Re/Max and ZTA provide all participants with the "In Commemoration Of" or the "In Memory Of" banners worn during the race. Phoenix will host Race for Cure on October 10.

On the local level, ZTA's gathered at the Sedona Re/Max on Arizona 89A to celebrate Think Pink on Oct. 2. Passersby were treated to coffee and donuts generously donated by Weber's IGA. In addition to receiving useful breast cancer awareness information and Think Pink ribbons to wear, participants also had the opportunity to register for door prize gift certificates donated by area businesses. The results of the drawing are as follows:

Classic Curls: Nancy of Pfefferkorn

Curves for Women: Ricia Jenkins

Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio: Pam Schabatka

Sedona's New Day Spa: Janie McDaniel

Mayor Pud Colquitt, a ZTA herself, also participated in disseminating information and pink ribbons. ZTA volunteers will continue their October Think Pink campaign at the Cliff Castle Casino Employee Health Fair on Oct. 22.
