Ryan D. Johnson
Ryan Dennis Johnson, 33, died March 29, 2006, at his home in San Antonio, Texas, from as yet unknown causes.
Ryan graduated from Mingus Union High School in Cottonwood in 1990 and was a former resident of Sedona, Mayer, and Phoenix. He was a respected chef at L'Auberge de Sedona Resort and was a well-respected chef in San Antonio at the time of his death. Ryan is survived by his daughter, Neysa of the Philippines; longtime partner Ivy Gauthier of San Antonio; his mother Barbara Johnson of Prescott; his father David Johnson of Otis Orchards, Wash.; his brother Larry Johnson of Easton, Md.; his grandfather, Robert Johnson of Queen Creek; two uncles, an aunt, five cousins, two nieces, four nephews, and one great niece.
Memorial Services for family and all friends were held at Cathedral Rock in Sedona on April 6.
The Hampton Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
Bill and Jane Colton
A memorial service will be held for George "Bill" and Jane Miskimen Colton, Saturday, April 15, 10 a.m., at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., Cottonwood. Jane died March 27, 2006, and Bill died Sept. 17, 2005.
Willa A. Kennedy
Willa Anne Kennedy, 64, of Camp Verde died April 1, 2006. Willa was born Feb. 8, 1942, in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, to Albert and Willa White.
Willa loved her work as a teacher's aide at Camp Verde Middle School. She truly treasured the children and knew they enjoyed her friendship as well. In her free time Willa enjoyed sewing and knitting -- her family and friends are the fortunate recipients of her handiwork.
Willa is survived by her husband, Jerry Kennedy of Camp Verde; her son, Jerry Kennedy of Hanford, Calif.; her daughter Cathleen Elizabeth Kennedy of Paradise, Calif.; and her sister Cristine Deamis of Santa Barbara, Calif. Private services will be held.
BuelerHepler Funeral Home assisted the family.
Terry L. Russell
Terry Lee Russell, 42, of Cottonwood, died April 1, 2006. He was born May 25, 1962, in Rochester, N.Y.
He attended Apache Junction schools and worked at the Ace Hardware warehouse in Dewey.
Terry enjoyed playing the drums, spending time with friends and family. He liked to do off-road exploration in Sedona and on Mingus Mountain. He also enjoyed water skiing.
Terry leaves his father, Robert T. Russell, two sons, Michael and Steven Russell; a brother Donald B. Russell; his fiancée Shannon Dean and her children, Christopher and Amanda and an uncle, Donald E. Russell.
A funeral service will be today, April 7, in the Westcott Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey on Monday at 1 p.m.
