In attempts to boost business in Camp Verde, the Chamber of Commerce has released a community guide and business directory magazine.
Camp Verde businesses made the publication possible by purchasing advertiseing space.
"This magazine will be mailed to tourists requesting information about Camp Verde from our advertising campaigns with the Arizona Office of Tourism TEAM (Teamwork for Effective Arizona Marketing) Grant," said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Roy Gugliotta.
Last month, Gov. Janet Napolitano announced that the Arizona Office of Tourism is awarding a total of $1.4 million in matching grants to rural and metropolitan organizations around the state. The Camp Verde Chamber received an individual grant of $27,590.
The publication includes history of the area, information on the town's parks, Fort Verde, a membership roster, buyer's guide and advertisements. It will be available at various locations including motels and RV parks.
"We are also mailing out the magazine to over 100 leads to the U.S. Motorcoach Market generated by YES Marketing Group," said Gugliotta. "This group is working for the Camp Verde, Cottonwood, and Sedona Chambers as part of our Regional Tourism TEAM Grant. YES Marketing is also in Germany working with the German travel agents and the tour operator community. This should help boost our oversea tourism into the Camp Verde area."
