J.A. Baker

J.A. Baker, 80, of Cottonwood, died June 23, 2006. He was born Aug. 29, 1925, to Benjamin and Pearl Baker in Taft, Ark.

Mr. Baker served his country during World War II as an E-6 staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.

He was the owner of J.A. Baker Construction; building in Sedona, Camp Verde and the Verde Valley.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Darlene Baker of Cottonwood; his daughters, Kim Fulps of Arizona, Penny Smith of Arizona, Cynthia Stroud of Colorado, and Shirley Washburn of Rimrock. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
