Adelia May Harris

Adelia May Harris, 90, a resident of Clarkdale, died at home Thursday, Sept. 2. She was born on Dec. 4, 1915, in Turon, Kan.

She was a graduate of Stafford High; attended Beautician's School in Kansas; worked as beautician, store clerk, and taught piano. She attended numerous churches, including the Verde Valley Christian Church, where she volunteered her services at events, and played the organ and piano.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50-plus years, Cecil Harris. Adelia is survived by her sons, Phil L. Harris and his wife Judy of Jerome, and Billy Joe Harris with his wife Debbie of Clarkdale; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Havens

Dorothy Havens, 82, aresident of Cottonwood, died Tuesday, Aug. 29.

She was born Dec. 31, 1923, in Denver to Harry J. and Margaret Corper. After High School, Dorothy attended Colorado State University, where she obtained her bachelor's degree. Dorothy worked as a substitute teacher with various school districts.

Dorothy was a scuba diver, and she loved skiing.

Robert C. McDonald

Robert C. McDonald, 72, a resident of Cottonwood, died Monday, Sept. 4. He was born Aug. 28, 1934, in Phoenix.

Robert was a retired boiler maker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan McDonald of Cottonwood; sons, Dennis McDonald of Kingman, Robert McDonald of Prescott, and Brian McDonald of Cottonwood; daughter, Alana McDonald-Kunselman of Phoenix; brother, Ted McDonald of Mesa; sisters, Betty Carlson of Texas, and Ruth McDonald of Mesa; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home today, Sept. 8, 10:30 a.m. Immediately following the service, Robert will be laid to rest at the Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale.
